Our client based in Lowestoft (Suffolk) is looking for an outstanding Chef to provide first class food and hospitality within the needs of their nursing home environment.
As the nursing homes Chef you will be responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, cleanliness of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating and inventory of products and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the dining services team, you will ensure all special dietary needs are met and prepare texture modified food as directed. You will also work alongside the activities team to cater for special events taking place within the home.
The Chef position is offering 40 hours per week, working 7.30am-2pm or 2.30pm-6pm shifts , at a pay rate up to £9.00 per hour (subject to experience).
Criteria / Person Specification
Ability to read and follow recipes
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
Possess good judgement, problem solving, and decision making skills
Food handling course qualification
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the homes needs
Effective time keeping and time management
